What People Ask Before Booking

Booking a session can come with questions, and that’s totally normal. Whether it’s your first time working with me or your third, I want you to feel confident and excited before we even pick up the camera.

Here are some of the most common questions I get from parents and athletes before a session, along with honest, straightforward answers to help you feel ready.

“How far in advance should we book?”

I recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance, especially during peak sports seasons like spring and fall. This gives us time to talk about the session, plan your athlete’s gear and look, and make sure we get a great location and light. If you're on a tighter schedule, I’ll always do my best to work you in.

“How long does a session last?”

Most sessions last between 45 minutes to 2.5 hours. I never rush, but I also work efficiently so your athlete doesn’t get worn out. We’ll move through a few setups and poses to give you plenty of variety, without overdoing it.

“Do we need to bring anything?”

Yes! Bring their full uniform, gear, and any extras that mean something to them, like a letterman jacket, favorite cleats, or a game ball. If you’re not sure what to bring, I’ll send you a checklist when we book.

“What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?”

No worries, I always build in flexibility for weather. If we’re shooting outdoors and the forecast doesn’t look good, I’ll stay in touch and reschedule with no fee. I want your session to feel relaxed and right.

“What’s the investment?”

Pricing varies based on the package you choose, how many images you’d like, and whether you want prints, digital files, or both. I offer several flexible options that can fit different needs. I’ll go over everything clearly before booking, no surprises, no pressure.

“Do you offer prints or only digital images?”

I offer both! You can purchase high-resolution digital files, prints, wall art, posters, banners, big heads on a stick, or albums. You’ll have full control over how you showcase your athlete’s images.

“What if my child is shy or awkward in front of the camera?”

That’s more common than you might think. I work with athletes of all personalities, from outgoing to quiet and I know how to make them feel comfortable. We keep it light and fun, and I never force fake smiles. My goal is to capture who they really are.
